We love doing giveaways, and we love seeing your enthusiasm for them! Before we do too many more, we wanted to establish our rules, given some of the recent changes around Digilent.

A little while ago James posted about how to use the Digilent Forum to get the best help. The reason I bring up old, but still exciting, news is that I would like to highlight a particular section of the Forum, the Project Vault.

For those of you who frequented our Flickr page, you may have noticed that despite the stellar imagery, actually navigating to the page itself could be somewhat of a pain. Well, I’m proud to announce that those troubles are over.

On the last Monday of every May, the U.S. celebrates Memorial Day, formerly Decoration Day. It is a day to honor those who have died while serving in the military. As it is a national holiday, the Digilent offices will be closed and operating at limited functionality this upcoming Monday, May 25.

Since our release of the NetFPGA-SUME at the beginning of this year, this board has gotten a lot of attention. It’s easy to see why, after all, it’s powered by the Xilinx Virtex-7 690T FPGA, a behemoth of a chip with over half a million logic cells and is perfect for applications like cyber security, imaging, and high-throughput data (as a point of reference, the next closest competitor to this processor available for purchase is the Altera Stratix V.) And now it’s on sale!

We are excited to announce the launch of our newest category on our website!

We’ve been making NI Academic Hardware for years and even sold a few on our website (although we had them stashed in multiple categories). We decided that NI week would be perfect timing–it’s an amazing event around the LabVIEW community, close to the start of the new Academic calendar and most importantly, our product development team had just released 4 brand new products targeted for NI Academic Hardware. We decided it was high time to create a special category for our parent company.

Twitter is a fantastic way to keep in touch with us on regular basis. If you are doing a cool project or you are working on our products– let us see and share with the world, just put a #Digilent in your tweet or even tweet at us @digilentinc.
