Today, half of the Digilent team has already left to go to Romania for our EU Design Contest, while the other half of us are getting the last minute things together to leave for Bay Area Maker Faire. From all across the world, “makers” (people who enjoy making and creating things) flock to the Bay Area to attend the Bay Area World Maker Faire, which is projected to have over 125,000 attendees! This year, we are sharing a booth with our supplier-partner, Microchip Technologies, and have quite the line-up for anyone who comes by. |

1. Come see our Demo!
A few of us have been working on making a rather fun demo to share with everyone. We took some of our favorite things and combined them into one — chipKIT + WiFi + addressable LEDs + wearable fashion. Check out the video for more details.
2. See our two newest products in action!
We are going to introduce two new products at this Maker Faire. The first is the Analog Shield designed for the Arduino Uno by the TI University Program and Stanford University. You can see this shield, see the demo projects, and buy one just by stopping by the TI & BeagleBoard.org booth.
The second product is our zUNO clip — designed by us to make it easy to keep your chipKIT in place! Maker Faire will be the first time these are available outside of Digilent and we plan on giving away the first couple hundred!
Speaking of giving things away…
3. Our Giveaways!
What’s a show if there aren’t any giveaways? Not only can people who visit our booth get a zUNO Clip to try out, but we will be giving away 5 sets of the chipKIT Starter Kit (over 150 parts) + the chipKIT uC32 each day to a random @DigilentInc tweet with #makerfaire. Winners are selected about every 2 hours and you’ll receive a tweet back telling you to come by the booth and pick up your prize!
Microchip will also be giving out coupon codes to use on www.microchipdirect.com!
4. It’s all about “Flair”.
Make sure no matter you stop by to collect the bits of flair that we are giving out!
These will go wonderfully with the Maker Faire buttons that you can collect as you explore the Faire grounds!
