Digilent Design Contest 2017 is On!

We are excited to announce that we have just opened up registration for the 13th annual Digilent Design Contest Europe! The contest is organized by Digilent in partnership with the Technical University in Cluj-Napoca (Romania).

The Digilent Design Contest provides an opportunity for students from across Europe to use the latest technology in electronics and digital design. The following Digilent boards are free for participants: The Basys 3, Nexys Video, ArtyZYBO and Cmod A7, as well as the brand new Arty Z7 board (to come soon). These boards are accompanied by our lines of Pmods and accessories.

It’s an ideal place for students to be able to indulge their imaginations and to develop challenging projects. These projects are then shared with the community, and presented live in front of a jury comprised of both industry and academic representatives.

Enrollment opened on October 1. The final phase will take place in mid-May 2017 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania,  a  beautiful city in the heart of Transylvania.

As in years past, we have had students from all over Europe. Teams from Hungary, Switzerland, Estonia, Serbia, Poland, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Romania, Greece and Turkey participate in previous editions. They traveled to share their innovative projects. The themes ranged from robots, image processing, home and environmental monitoring, audio, and gesture detection to gadgets, copters, and more.

Registration is open until December 31 2016. But if you enroll earlier, you get the hardware sooner! Pretty cool right? You can start working on your project quicker, and increase your chances of creating something really neat. Make sure to keep an eye on the contest timeline so you don’t miss the early enrollment!
