Welcome back to the Digilent Blog!
Some of you know that Digilent has been growing its very own MakerSpace community. Here, we have gotten the opportunity to learn a variety of things from paper circuits, 3D printing, and even sewing! But we felt that we were missing a way of figuring out what we would like to do at the MakerSpace. So we asked ourselves an important question–if we could make anything at the Digilent MakerSpace, we would make…

…a super awesome giant blackboard!
Our fearless leader, Talesa, spent many long hours painting and preparing the two large 4 feet by 8 feet plywood boards so that we could write our ideas all over the board. Admittedly, some of the ideas on the board are going to be hard to accomplish, like the teleporter or the lembas bread. However, we’re definitely looking forward to working on some of the more feasible ideas, like the WiFi enabled crock-pot or the $60 3D printer!

You can find out more, learn what’s coming up on our calendar, and how to get involved with the Digilent MakerSpace here. Check it out!
A laser cutter would be nice, but I’d like to add a vote for a teleporter.
I like how your MakerSpace encourages original ideas and the sharing of them.
