During Clint Cole’s Spotlight Presentation at ECEDHA 2014, a rather large announcement was made.
We have officially launched the Learn.DigilentInc.com site!
The site, a project that Digilent started last year, undertook the task of creating project-based learning materials to be offered online. The material is created by a combination of Digilent partners and employees and is structured in a modular format, using “projects” as the foundation.

Choose to Navigate by Project, Modules or Courses
Projects are created to be 20 minutes to 1 hour in length and provide the user an opportunity to accomplish a task at the end of the lesson.
Groups of projects are put together to create a “module”.
Groups of modules are put together to create a full “course”.
Color tiles correspond to Microcontroller, FPGA and Analog courses.
Once inside of a project module you are presented with a high level Introduction, where you are told what you should be able to accomplish at the end of the project. Then you are provided an Inventory of items required as well as a Knowledge Check for you to know if this project is at your level of understanding.

If related concepts are needed in a project, colored tabs are created on the side to provide a path to learn about those concepts.

At the end of a project, we want to provide a place to verify learning concepts and have inserted a Test Your Knowledge portion.

Right now there are 35 active projects and over 50 more to load.
Later we will have our first set of modules live and then have a sample course available to preview.
All of these projects and modules is that they are created underneath the Creative Commons License. This was chosen because we want you to be able to use these any way to educate more engineers! So please, share away– just give us reference. If you want to go the extra mile and make us smile, share with us how you are using it (nothing makes us happier than knowing that our work is useful to you)!
“There is no job more important than educating engineers, ” is what Clint Cole, our President and Founder stated during his ECEDHA Spotlight session. This is our project to help make that job just a little bit easier and we are excited to be able to share it with you!
