Happy Halloween! A few days ago, Martha talked about some spooky ideas for seasonal projects. But what if you are less into trick and more into treat? A treat of lights, at that? Then we have some project recommendations for you.
For starters, there is a whole collection of projects on Instructables that involves illuminated costumes.
Some of our favorites are:
The Daft Punk Helmet with Programmable LEDs
Because who doesn’t love ageless French electronica?
I will actually be doing a much more low-key version of this as an anglerfish this year.
Add some extra light (and truth) to the Justice League.
Obviously, there are plenty of projects you can do. We recommend using our WS2812 LED Strips if you can work it into your costume.
Above all, stay safe this Halloween, and remember, as Gollum/Smeagol said in the Lord of the Rings movies, “Don’t follow the lights, precious.”
