Meet the Web Team!

Have you ever wondered who is in charge of maintaining our website and making sure it has a polished, Digilent-branded look? Then its time to meet the web team.

This is one of the many Sams (there are six!) at Digilent. He is working on the continuing development of the Learn site, in addition to other web projects that will be coming soon to the public.

"I was doing freelance web design in Missoula, MT, before I was picked up by Digilent and moved back to my hometown of Pullman, WA. My focus at Digilent is development of new web projects, such as learn.digilentinc.com. I play a ton of video games in my spare time." - Sam

This is Brad. He is working on maintaining the back-end of the website. He is in charge of making sure the guts of the website work.

"I cut my teeth on the TI 99/4A computer with BASIC programming and moved into Pascal and Assembly on the Apple IIe and IBM PC computers. I have an analog and digital electronics AAS degree and worked with embedded industrial control systems in the paper industry with electronic slitter systems. I moved into business programming for several years on the IBM iSeries mid-range systems and then into information technology dystems administration and web developer positions the past 14 years. I like to play tennis, travel, and volunteer. " - Brad

This is Norm. He’s been with Digilent since 2001. In that time he’s managed the servers / IT system, designed three versions of the web site, produced a few hundred hours of training videos, shot all the product / company photos, and have designed all of our marketing materials, from product branding and identity to product packaging, data sheets, magazine ads, conference displays, and anything else with our logo on it that’s meant for public consumption. He’s also done a lot of this sort of work for our OEM customers. Currently, he is working on the 6th Digilent website (his 4th) and a complete re-skinning of the entire company.

"I started in computer science at WSU, but over time my interests changed and I drifted more towards the creative side of things. I enjoy graphic design as well as music production, photography, cars, motorcycles, tinkering with microcontrollers / robotics, wasting time lazily watching every movie made while tending to my carefully cultivated collection of some of the world's worst films. **The worst film is "Manos: The Hands of Fate", despite what anyone else may say." - Norm
