When I first began using Digilent products, I possessed what one could generously call a “limited” understanding of electronics. I had worked with an Arduino Uno before, and stumbled through a few introductory computer science classes, but when I was first handed the chipKIT WF32 I was fairly confident that it was going to be a disaster.

I was, in fact, pleasantly surprised. Not only is the board powerful and adaptable, it also is a friendly and intuitive user experience. I was able to quickly get simple MPIDE sketches running, and soon move onto more complex custom systems. It also integrates seamlessly with Labview, and the instructions on how to do this were straightforward and easy to follow.

Additionally, the WF32’s built in WiFi capabilities make the possibilities for this board limitless! Instead of wrangling with shields or Ethernet cables, you can get internet-interactive projects up and running quickly and easily. What can you come up with?
