My New Favorite Digilent Product

A few months ago, I talked about my favorite product, the chipKIT Uno32. But then we learned that we’ll be saying goodbye to it soon. Obviously, it’s for a good reason — the uC32 is a much more capable product — but I was still flooded by nostalgia. So what could replace my first love, the Uno32?

It took some time. Then I realized…the Max32. The Max32 had been in my life almost as long as its smaller sibling. I spent just as many hours working on the original Fritzing files for it as I did for the Uno32. And what can I say — I like microcontrollers.

The Max32 has the same impressive PIC32 processor, but a good deal more available I/O pins. It also has 512K Flash and 128K RAM. It’s small and powerful.
