Napa Valley Bound for ECEDHA 2014 !

For those of you that follow the Electrical Engineering Education world, you may know that ECEDHA is only a few days away! ECEDHA or Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association is a yearly conference that focuses on University’s pressing engineering education challenges. This year it is held in Napa Valley, and is hosted by Berkeley, Santa Clara and Stanford University, and we have quite the line up planned!

Pre-Conference Workshop:

The event kicks off with a pre-conference workshop on Online Education with our own John Schneider- Director of Education Initiatives will be on the discussion panel.

Keynote from National Instruments and Digilent Spotlight:

On Sunday, the conference will be in full swing and we kick it off with a key note presentation with Ray Almgren, Vice President of National Instruments (our parent company). There he will be presenting on enabling Hands On Learning, NI’s teaching philosophy!

Which is a perfect lead in for our own Clint Cole to present: Design for Success. Every Student and Every Assignment.  Clint will show some of our exciting new products, unveil a project we have been working on for Educators,  and even have Dr. Greg Kovacsfrom Stanford University talk about the necessity of design.

ECExpo- come see the Digilent Demos and Booth!

The ECExpo is the show floor room of the ECEDHA Conference and Digilent will be there with many demos and product show cases! The ECEexpo is hosted by one of our partners, Texas Instruments and begins Sunday evening after all of the spotlight presentations and remains open Monday all day.

Tell Us What You Think- with the Digilent Focus Session:

Early in the morning from 7:30 we will have a breakfast session where you can give feedback directly to the Digilent Academic Product and Services team.

Is there teaching material you would really like to see?
Have an idea of an academic product that would do well?
Use our boards and want us to know what you are thinking?
This is the place to come and tell us.
Because it’s early there WILL be breakfast!

Break Out Session- Open Hardware in the Classroom:

Did you know that almost all of Digilent Educational Boards are Open Hardware compliant?
Open Hardware is making a huge impact in furthering Engineering Education and we will be joining the Digi-Key sponsored breakout session as a panelist.
