New FPGA Demo Project Format

We have recently begun a shift in the format of our FPGA demo projects. Rather than posting the entire Vivado project, the new format includes only the source files. One of the benefits that this new format brings is better version control, which will allow for easier access to project updates. Once the projects are converted, we can find a single storage location for maximum ease of use.

Currently, the new format of projects will be available on the wiki alongside our current project format. The steps for using these demos has changed slightly to include a .tcl script, which will create the project file from the files provided in the demo. Check out this Instructable for a brief introduction on how to use the new format. We will continue to provide new information as we continue to develop our new project format, so stay tuned!

About Nate Eastland

I am currently a student at Washington State University studying Electrical Engineering. I am originally from Southern California but I have spent most of my life in the Seattle area. Growing up I was always deeply interested in the pure sciences like chemistry and physics. Throughout high school I began to look for ways that I could apply the theory I had learned. I chose to pursue engineering so that my interest in applied sciences could be used to solve real world problems.
