The element14 RoadTest is an opportunity for engineers and other electronic enthusiasts to test new technologies from popular manufacturers in an effort to provide feedback for other community members. After opening a free account, members can apply to test products in exchange for feedback on their experience. You can watch the introductory video below to learn more about the element14 RoadTest opportunity.
If you apply to RoadTest the Digital Discovery and High Speed Adapter, there are some important details you will need to know. The first is that each application process requires brief background information on your electronics experience and a description. This written section gives you the opportunity to expand on why you would be a great RoadTester, and hopefully this part can give you the opportunity to stand out from other applicants! You can find detailed information the application expectations on the RoadTest website, including a comprehensive overview of writing a good description (pictured below) and three example descriptions to review.
Each RoadTest provides a list of important dates that include the beginning and end of the enrollment period, as well as when applicants will be selected as official RoadTesters. These designated RoadTesters will then receive their kit and begin using their hardware, testing its strengths and weaknesses to write a helpful review for element14 community members. Returning to write this review is similarly outlined on the RoadTest website, with tips and tricks to guide any writer through this process.
