I was so proud to see this mountain of packages from Digilent employees! All thirty tree wishes came true.
I wanted to drop everyone a note to let you know how great it is to work here and how awesome this community is.
As some of you know, we set up a “Giving Tree” to help some needy children in the Pullman area. The tree had 30 tags on it and all of them were filled. I’m not sure if everyone is aware of this, but Whitman County (where Digilent’s main office is located) is the poorest county in Washington state and there are a lot of folks in need right here in Pullman. Supporting this effort and bringing a bit of joy to these families was a great thing for us to do and as usual, Digilent came through.
Last week there was a “wrapping party” to wrap the gifts that the local Ladies of the Moose (those who are part of the Moose Lodge) collected for at least 85 children. Folks were wrapping gifts for over four hours…
We hope you enjoyed this look into Digilent’s community and that you can find it in your heart to share the holiday spirit with your own community!
