Recapping the Week: June 7-June 13

It’s been a gorgeous (and desperately hot) summer out here so far, and we can’t think of a better way to spend an oppressively hot day than to switch on fleet of oscillating fans, pile on some ice packs, and enjoy some of the latest events and projects that Digilent’s blog has to offer! We’ve also been harnessing the seemingly infinite energy of a few new interns to aid us in the prep for ASEE, so be sure to check back for updates on the conference later next week.

One of the best parts of traveling to a conference like ASEE is getting to participate in hands on workshops. I love getting to go to these, because many times, these are teaching experiences that I’ve only heard about that use Digilent products, so it was a welcome change to be able to see one in action.

ASEE Pre-Conference Workshop

We are excited to announce that that we will be hosting a pre-conference workshop this year at the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) conference in Indianapolis. This workshop will be led by our Academic Initiatives Director, John Schneider, and will be held on Sunday, June 16, at the Indianapolis Convention Center. We are excited to promote our “every student, every assignment” message with this workshop entitled, “Teaching Engineering Design with Student-Owned Digital and Analog Lab Equipment”. Look for pictures of the workshop to be posted after the event!
